Spice of the Caribbean... Videos 2006:
Click the link below to
check out several videos that The Olympian newspaper published online to
document the progression of the Procession through the course of its 8 weeks in
the art studio. There are segments on all the music and dance
groups, the studio's artistic transformation, the hard work
of volunteers and of course the last second finishing touches on projects. This was a great way for the public to see what goes on behind the scenes and what it takes to make the Procession of the Species what we see in the street. There are also some great clips of Salsa del Caribe in videos #1: "Procession volunteers start working" and #7: "Final touches for Procession." A few seconds of Caribe's Procession street performance can be viewed in the last
